PokerStars has unveiled the first three stops of the European Poker Tour (EPT) 2025 schedule, with celebrated tournaments returning to Paris, Monte-Carlo, and Barcelona. This exciting announcement follows a standout 20th anniversary year in 2024, and anticipation for the upcoming season is already building.
EPT 2025 Kicks Off in Paris
EPT Paris will launch the 2025 season, taking place at Le Palais des Congrès from February 12-23. Marking its third consecutive year, EPT Paris aims to continue the momentum of 2024, which saw record-breaking attendance, including a historic 4,149 entries in the France Poker Series Main Event. Poker pro Barny Boatman claimed victory in the 2024 EPT Paris Main Event, securing €1,287,800 and a PokerStars ambassadorship.
Starting November 17, online satellites offer players a chance to win a €8,000 package to EPT Paris. The package includes the €5,300 Main Event buy-in, accommodations at the Hyatt Regency Paris Etoile, and travel expenses. Qualifiers can also aim for one of three exclusive packages through PokerStars’ Power Path:
- Gold Pass: EPT Main Event entry, accommodations, and expenses (€9,300/$10,300 value)
- Gold Pass with Extras: Includes entries to the EPT Main Event, FPS Main Event, and FPS Paris Cup (€9,300/$10,300 value)
- Silver Pass: Entry to the FPS Paris Main Event and Cup with accommodations (€2,300/$2,500 value)
Each Gold Pass also includes exclusive FPS/EPT Paris experiences and merchandise.
EPT Monte-Carlo and EPT Barcelona to Follow
From April 30 to May 10, EPT Monte-Carlo will bring its prestigious tournament to the luxurious Monte-Carlo Casino. This stop combines scenic views of the Mediterranean with elite poker action, drawing players and fans alike to the glamorous destination. Patrik Antonius, a Poker Hall of Famer, captured headlines here in 2024 by winning the €100,000 Super High Roller.
Next, the tour heads to Casino Barcelona from August 18-31, an EPT staple known for its energetic atmosphere and massive fields. With a €9.5 million prize pool in 2024, this stop promises thrilling action and large fields once again. In the 2024 season, Stephen Song emerged as the 20th-anniversary EPT Barcelona Main Event champion.
Will Prague and Cyprus Return?
While Cyprus joined the EPT lineup in 2023 and Prague has been a long-standing favorite, neither has yet been announced for 2025. This absence may hint at the EPT’s interest in exploring new locations in the latter half of the year, potentially offering fresh tournament experiences for players and fans.
As more details emerge, players and fans alike can look forward to another action-packed year on the European Poker Tour, with Paris, Monte-Carlo, and Barcelona set to deliver unforgettable moments.
