Sheila Stimson’s week? Absolutely unforgettable! She just took down the Women’s Event at the PokerStars North American Poker Tour (NAPT) in Vegas, walking away with $11,380—her biggest cash yet. And as if that wasn’t exciting enough, she also won a package to the PokerStars Women’s Winter Festival in London. Talk about a win!
But for Sheila Stimson, this wasn’t just about the money. It’s proof that all the work she’s put in is paying off, and that women can make serious waves in the poker world. Her victory sends a strong message to women all over the U.S. who are chasing their poker dreams. Now, she’s taking that message global at the Women’s Winter Festival.
NAPT Women’s Event turnout
The NAPT Women’s Event had a fantastic turnout, with 182 players competing for a prize pool of $50,960. Familiar faces like poker content creator Caitlin Comeskey made it to the final table, placing 5th with $3,000, while PokerStars ambassadors Marle Spragg and Kerryjane Craigie secured 18th and 14th places, respectively.
When it came down to the wire, Sheila went head-to-head with WSOP Circuit ring winner Christina Gollins, after Carol Harmon took third. Sheila took it down and couldn’t have been happier.
“I really wanted this,” she said. “I even took a risk and took time off work, but it totally paid off. This is why I moved to Vegas, and I couldn’t be happier!” With this win—and the London festival coming up—Sheila’s story is just getting started.
