Nick Schulman is proving why he’s a force to be reckoned with in the poker world. Just weeks after claiming his sixth WSOP bracelet, Schulman dominated the $10,100 High Roller at PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, pocketing a cool $283,050. This victory marks his sixth PokerGO Tour (PGT) title, adding another accolade to his impressive career.
A Stellar Field at the PGT Last Chance Series
The event, which drew 111 entrants, kicked off the PGT Last Chance series that runs through January 9. Schulman outlasted a talented field, including Joao Simao, who he defeated heads-up, and final table opponents Victoria Livschitz (3rd – $127,650), Bryce Yockey (4th – $99,900), and Aram Zobian (7th – $44,400).
A Comeback for the Ages
Schulman’s path to victory wasn’t without drama. Early at the final table, he attempted a bold bluff against Simao, who held the nuts, resulting in a significant loss. Despite this setback, Schulman stayed composed and mounted an incredible comeback, doubling his stack twice to regain control. The final hand saw Schulman’s jack-seven edge out Simao’s jack-deuce, sealing the win.
Schulman’s Stellar 2024
The High Roller victory caps a phenomenal year for Schulman. In 2024, he clinched his fifth WSOP bracelet in the $25,000 High Roller for $1.7 million, followed by his sixth bracelet at WSOP Paradise in The Closer for $145,000.
Hall of Fame Aspirations
Schulman’s consistent success strengthens his case for induction into the Poker Hall of Fame. His versatility as both a player and commentator sets him apart, though he faces tough competition from contemporaries like Scott Seiver, a seven-time bracelet winner.
Schulman’s achievements continue to redefine the standards of poker greatness. Stay tuned as the high-stakes pro adds to his already legendary career in 2025.
