    The $5,200 Titans Event at PokerStars is widely regarded as one of the most challenging online poker tournaments, drawing in elite grinders from around the world. The latest installment of this high-stakes showdown saw Jonathan “Proudflop” Proudfoot rise above a stacked field of 59 entries to claim the top prize of $91,663. Proudfoot secured the title after a thrilling heads-up battle against Austrian pro “Phemo.”

    Star-Studded Field Fights for a $295K Prize Pool

    With a buy-in of $5,200, it’s no surprise that the Titans Event attracted some of the biggest names in poker. Legends like Juan “Malaka$tyle” Pardo, Aleksejs “APonakov” Ponakovs, Niklas “Lena900” Astedt, Dominik “Bounatirou” Nitsche, and Pascal “Pass_72” Lefrancois were among the entrants. However, even these stars couldn’t navigate the field to reach the final seven paying spots.

    Two players left the final table empty-handed: “hello_totti” exited in ninth, and Ole “wizowizo” Schemion bowed out in eighth, bursting the money bubble. Notably, Schemion was fresh off a $224,424 victory in the New Year Series Main Event.

    The remaining seven players split the $295,000 prize pool, with payouts as follows:

    • 7th Place: “Kurfurst” (Austria) – $12,837
    • 6th Place: Pedro “pvigar” Garagnani (Brazil) – $17,814
    • 5th Place: Gavin “gavz101” Cochrane (UK) – $24,270
    • 4th Place: Alexandre “ReWaRds84” Reard (France) – $34,304
    • 3rd Place: Adrian “Amadi_017” Mateos (Spain) – $47,602
    • 2nd Place: “Phemo” (Austria) – $66,056
    • 1st Place: Jonathan “Proudflop” Proudfoot (UK) – $91,663

    The heads-up battle saw Proudfoot outmaneuver “Phemo,” a former New Year Series Main Event fourth-place finisher, to claim the crown.

    Weekend Highlights: Reard and Cimbolas Shine

    The weekend also saw other notable winners:

    • Alexandre “ReWaRds84” Reard followed up his Titans Event run with a victory in the $1,050 Sunday Warm-Up High Roller, earning $19,912.
    • Matas “bebaimis777” Cimbolas claimed the $215 StacKOsaurus title for $15,686, including progressive bounty payouts.

    Meanwhile, Team PokerStars members experienced mixed results. Brazilian star Laurie “LaliTournier” Tournier finished 97th in the $109 Sunday Million, earning $1,516, while her teammate Benjamin “Spraggy” Spragg finished second in the $109 Sunday Fenomeno, securing $9,773.

    Notably, Spragg celebrated 100,000 Twitch subscribers earlier in the week with a victory in the $530 Bounty Builder High Roller, adding $10,700 to his bankroll.

    The Titans Event: A Showcase of Poker’s Best

    Jonathan Proudfoot’s impressive triumph in the Titans Event is a testament to the skill and strategy required to excel in poker’s highest echelons.
