Benjamin Rolle’s Redemption Story
Rolle entered the final table of the 2025 WSOP Online Main Event with a solid chip stack and a determination to prove himself after falling short the previous year. As the tournament progressed, the action was fast and fierce, with several intense eliminations.
Zengxiang Chen, the first player to be eliminated at the final table, had his hopes dashed after a dramatic river card that paired his opponent, Anatoly Zlotnikov. Chen’s exit set the stage for what would be an action-packed finale, with multiple eliminations following quickly.
Amit Ben Yacov was the second player to be sent packing, after running into Felix Rabas’ pocket aces in a three-bet shove. But it was Rolle who seized the opportunity to take control of the table. When Andreas Christoforou pushed all-in, Rolle was quick to call, finding a Broadway straight on the flop to eliminate Christoforou and extend his chip lead.
As the final table whittled down to just a few players, Santiago Plante and Marco Agustin Perez were eliminated in quick succession, bringing the field to just three. With the stacks nearly even, the tension mounted.
The Big Blind Clash: Rolle vs. Rabas
One of the most pivotal moments of the tournament came when Benjamin Rolle clashed with Felix Rabas in a massive blind-versus-blind confrontation. Rolle, holding a strong hand, called Rabas’ all-in raise after initially limping from the small blind. The ensuing board delivered a top pair for Rolle, while Rabas hit a nut flush draw. The turn and river were favorable for Benjamin Rolle, doubling his stack and giving him the momentum to carry on.
Despite Rabas doubling through Rolle shortly afterward, his run came to an end when he encountered Zlotnikov’s pocket aces. The hand sent Rabas to the rail in third place, leaving Rolle and Zlotnikov to battle it out for the championship.
Heads-Up Showdown
When heads-up play began, Zlotnikov held a slim chip lead. But Rolle wasted no time in taking control. In the defining hand of the final table, Zlotnikov opened from the button with pocket eights, and Rolle made a bold three-bet with ace-king suited. Zlotnikov moved all-in, and Rolle quickly called, confident in his hand. The flop saw both players hit top pair, but Rolle’s ace-high kicker secured the pot and a commanding chip lead.
With the momentum firmly in his favor, Rolle sealed the victory two hands later. From the button, Zlotnikov limped in with pocket jacks, and Rolle pushed all-in with ace-queen. Zlotnikov called, but the board ran out in Rolle’s favor, delivering the $3.9 million top prize and a long-awaited WSOP bracelet.

Redemption Achieved
Rolle’s victory not only secured him a massive payout but also earned him the title he had been chasing for years. Reflecting on his win, Rolle said, “Last year’s eighth-place finish stung, but it only made me more determined to come back stronger. This win feels incredible, especially after all the hard work that went into it. Winning my first bracelet means the world to me.”
His win echoes the success of another prominent poker streamer, Bert ‘girafganger7’ Stevens, who claimed the 2023 WSOP Online Main Event title. The final table of the 2025 WSOP Online Main Event was live-streamed on GGPoker’s YouTube channel, with commentary from poker legends Jeff Gross and Phil Hellmuth.
