The Asian Poker Tour (APT) 2024 Phu Quoc has been making headlines with thrilling victories, and this time, the spotlight shines brightly on India’s Avneesh Munjal. Last night, Munjal claimed his first-ever APT title by conquering the VND 60 Million High Roller – Double Stack event, marking a career-defining moment with his victory. Munjal took home a career-best payout of VND 1.541 billion (~₹51.34 Lakh), adding yet another milestone to his growing poker portfolio.

The High Roller event attracted 117 entries, contributing to a prize pool of VND 54 billion with a buy-in of VND 6 million. Munjal’s path to victory culminated in an intense two-hour heads-up showdown against China’s Mingcong Chen. After a strategic battle that kept audiences on the edge of their seats, Munjal emerged victorious, adding another highlight to his career and pushing his live earnings to an impressive ₹1.76 Crore.

A Thriving Venue for Indian Poker Players

The APT Phu Quoc series has become a promising stage for Indian players. Kunal Patni has been making waves here as well, cashing in two events and securing a win in Event #37 Tick Tock BOOM for VND 93,449,200. With the series running from November 8th to November 17th, poker enthusiasts are keen to see if other Indian players will continue the winning streak at APT 2024. Every international win by Indian players serves as a beacon of inspiration for poker aspirants, underscoring the rewards of dedication and skill on the global stage.

The Legacy of the APT Series

Founded in 2006, the APT has grown into one of Asia’s premier poker series, attracting players from around the world. The tour has been hosted in some of the continent’s most iconic locations, including the Philippines, Macau, South Korea, Cambodia, and even India, creating memorable poker moments and building a strong community across Asia.

Congratulations to Avneesh Munjal on his outstanding performance and win at the APT Phu Quoc 2024! His achievement adds to the success story of Indian poker players making their mark globally and inspires many others to chase their poker dreams.
