Poker Powerhouse Adds to Trophy Case

Las Vegas, NV (October 26, 2024) – Alex Foxen, the poker superstar from Huntington, New York, has struck again! Foxen conquered the WSOP Online Event #17 – PLO $200K GTD Mystery Bounty 6-Max on WSOP.com, taking home $39,271 (including $19,207 in bounties). This victory proves his mastery across both high-stakes tournaments and the online grind.

Playing under the alias “Serapis11,” Foxen faced off against fellow poker legend Dan Smith in a heads-up battle. Smith, a Poker Triple Crown winner with nearly $55.60 million in career earnings, also sought his second bracelet. However, Foxen emerged victorious, securing his second WSOP title. Smith finished runner-up, taking $14,790 (including $243 in bounties).

This win comes on the heels of Foxen’s near miss at the WSOP Europe €25,000 NLH GGMillion€, where he finished second to Italy’s Alessandro Pichierri.

    Dominant Household

Foxen’s first bracelet win came in 2022, conquering the WSOP Europe $250,000 Super High Roller for a career-best $4.50 million! This latest victory adds him to the elite group of multi-bracelet winners. Interestingly, his household now boasts a combined six bracelets! His wife, Kristen (Bicknell) Foxen, holds four of her own, making her the all-time female bracelet leader. Kristen nearly added to her collection at the WSOP Main Event this summer, finishing a career-best 16th for $600,000. Talk about a power couple!

    Foxen on a Roll

Foxen, also a WPT champion, has been on a hot streak. He recently had a successful run at the PGT PLO Series II, reaching three final tables and amassing $339,540 in total winnings. His lifetime tournament earnings now exceed $33.60 million, placing him 13th on the USA’s all-time money list and 21st overall.

    Stacked Field and Deep Runs

The WSOP Online Event #17 attracted a strong field, surpassing the guaranteed prize pool with 466 entries and a final pool of $209,700. The top 72 players cashed, with a minimum payout of $549.

Several notable players cashed in the event, including India’s three-time WSOP bracelet winner Nipun Java (20th for $603), two-time bracelet winner Chris Moorman (15th for $976), and recent Poker Masters Purple Jacket champion Jim Collopy (10th for $1,294). We also saw deep runs from seasoned players like Chino Rheem (7th for $4,168), Ben Yu (6th for $4,168), and David Goodman (5th for $6,171).

Final Table Results (USD) (Including Bounties)

    • Alex Foxen – $39,271
    • Dan Smith – $14,790
    • Jordan Spurlin – $12,517
    • Nicholas Tomilenko – $12,944
    • David Goodman – $6,171
    • Ben Yu – $4,168
