Daniel Negreanu, one of poker’s most recognizable names, is preparing for another high-stakes grind. The six-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner is heading back to Vancouver, Canada, to participate in the 2025 WSOP Online series on GGPoker.

The reason is simple: U.S. players cannot access GGPoker directly. As a global ambassador for the brand, Negreanu makes the yearly trip north to compete for poker’s most prestigious online prizes. This year, 33 WSOP gold bracelets are up for grabs, with millions in guaranteed prize pools.

    Streaming for the Fans

Negreanu isn’t just playing. He’s also livestreaming his action for fans worldwide. Last year, his broadcasts drew over 400,000 viewers, particularly during his deep run in the Main Event. While he didn’t secure a bracelet in 2024, his streams provided entertainment, insights, and an inside look into the mind of one of poker’s greatest players.

This September, the Canadian poker pro will start his grind with the $10K PLO Championship on September 15. Negreanu already highlighted two favorites: the PLO Championship and the Main Event, which boasts a massive $25 million guarantee.

    Big Events on Negreanu’s Radar

Negreanu’s September schedule is packed. Just days after arriving, he’ll face some of the toughest fields in:

    • $10K Heads Up NLH Championship – September 20
    • $1,050 PLO Mystery Bounty – September 21
    • Main Event Day 2 – September 22
    • $25,000 GGMillion$ SHR Championship – September 22
    • $5K PLO High Roller – later in the series
    • $10K NLH High Roller – closing the 33-event schedule

With his love for Pot-Limit Omaha, fans can expect Negreanu to shine in the PLO-heavy events, while still battling for poker’s biggest No-Limit Hold’em titles.

Early WSOP Online Winners: Spain and Brazil Shine

The series has already crowned champions. Spain and Brazil lead the way, each earning two bracelets.

    • Oihan Abarzuza (Spain) – Won the WSOP Kick-Off for $147,631.
    • Sergi Reixach (Spain) – Captured the $300 Gladiators of Poker, defeating 13,077 entries for $465,614.
    • Dante Fernandes (Brazil) – Won the $2,100 Bounty NLH Championship for $236,825.
    • Arthur Ebrahim (Brazil) – Claimed the $840 Bounty PLO title for $97,864.

With international competition heating up, all eyes will now be on Negreanu and whether he can bring another bracelet home.

Can Negreanu End His Bracelet Drought?

It has been over a decade since Negreanu won his last WSOP bracelet. Despite countless deep runs, near misses, and final tables, poker fans have watched him chase the elusive seventh title. The WSOP Online offers him another shot, and with livestream coverage, fans will be along for every bluff, value bet, and bad beat.

Negreanu’s dedication to connecting with the poker community sets him apart. Whether he wins or not, his presence adds excitement and credibility to the online series.
