Scott Ball, a top poker pro, has filed a $30 million lawsuit against Phil Nagy, head of ACR Poker. The case was submitted to a San Diego Superior Court on December 23, 2024. Ball accuses Nagy, ACR (formerly Americas Cardroom), and related entities of breach of contract, defamation, and trade libel.

Ball’s agency, End Game Talent, managed streamers for ACR. These streamers, including Ludwig Ahgren, claim they were never paid. Ball alleges ACR owes his agency millions, leaving him unable to pay the streamers.

    Phil Nagy Denies Allegations

    Phil Nagy

Phil Nagy denies the claims. He says ACR paid End Game Talent, and it was Ball’s job to pay the streamers. Both sides have publicly blamed each other for the payment issues.

Ball alleges ACR failed to honor nine invoices, each worth $3.3 million. The invoices covered services from June 2023 to April 2024.

Details of Scott Ball’s Lawsuit Against Phil Nagy

Ball claims ACR owes $29.7 million for unpaid services. The lawsuit seeks restitution, damages, and legal fees. He also accuses Nagy of defamation.

Ball points to Nagy’s comments on an August podcast. Nagy claimed Ball “dropped the ball” on commitments. Ball says these statements harmed his professional reputation.

The lawsuit also accuses ACR of unjust enrichment. It claims ACR benefited from the work of streamers without paying for it.

    Serious Legal Challenges

Ball is also dealing with a lawsuit from Loaded, LLC. He says this is due to ACR’s failure to pay his agency.

The legal battle has high stakes for both parties. Ball says the unpaid amount has hurt his business and reputation.

How Long Until Scott Ball and Phil Nagy Settle Their Dispute?

A hearing is scheduled for July 18, 2025. Until then, the poker world will closely watch this case.
